You will need to submit the following after submitting your initial application: 

  • Final Degree certificate (or Provisional) - HSC, CBSE, ICSE, AISSC or any other standard XII certificate
  • ​Mark sheet(s)/Official transcripts from all accredited colleges or universities attended Attestation form 
  • Aadhaar card or PAN Card
  • Proof of English proficiency.

To be eligible for a VU degree online in India you: 

  • must not be a resident of Australia 
  • must be proficient in English 
  • must have a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent, graduating with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60, or equivalent qualification approved by your specific faculty

Yes, VU’s online courses are 100% in English. You must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English in order to be eligible for a degree from VU online in India. See the admissions page for more information.

No, you will not need a visa to study with VU online in India. As this is an online degree, you may study from wherever home is for you.

On 3 March 2023 India and Australia signed a mechanism for mutual recognition of qualifications of both countries. This agreement recognises Australian bachelor degrees in India delivered in traditional on-campus mode. For delivery in online mode, qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis by designated Indian government authorities as with all online degrees conferred from institutions outside of India. 

While an online Australian bachelor degree is internationally recognised, the university cannot currently guarantee eligibility for postgraduate study or employment with local public sector institutions.

In addition, our faculty members have chosen to teach our subjects because they are passionate about online education and the opportunities it opens up for Indian students. Throughout the term they are available to support you through any particularly challenging units, to answer your questions on assignments and to help mentor you in your chosen field.

Activities vary between degrees and change from unit to unit. Some examples of tasks students will be required to complete are written assignments, reports, case studies, online quizzes, group presentations and discussion boards. The courses take place fully on our Learning Management System (LMS), and any textbooks and any external resources you’ll need will be found there. 
 
Our courses are practice based, so the kind of assignments will vary greatly depending on what course you choose. Speak with an advisor to learn more about the workload for your chosen course.

A VU online student needs a computer and a reliable internet connection to access the course materials. Some courses may have minimum technical requirements to complete the classwork. To learn what is required for your course, speak with an advisor.

Learning directly from faculty and peers is one of the best part of the university. 

Weekly discussion boards mean you share your points of view and learn from your peers. Our teaching faculty are always available to answer your questions or to set up a meeting. Weekly live sessions allow you to interact directly with your teacher and peers in real-time through video calls. 

All interaction will take place during times in IST convenient for you.

Our online faculty members are readily available by email, discussion forums and weekly live sessions. Each faculty member is different in how they prefer to communicate and will share this during the subject introduction.

The online subjects offered in India are designed by industry experts and the curriculum is identical to on-campus subjects. There may be some slight differences in which activities are done differently in-person vs. online, but our instructional designers are experts in ensuring the content for online courses is just as impactful as on-campus courses.
